I pay my respect to the original owners of the land where I work, practice and teach, the palawa people of lutriwita/Tasmania, and the muwinina and the mumirimina people of nipaluna/Hobart, who did not survive British colonialisation.
I acknowledge the Tasmanian Aboriginal community as the continuing custodians of lutruwita and honour Aboriginal Elders past and present. I extend this to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people recognising their ongoing connection to land, sea and waters.
I acknowledge the long and rich history and origins of yoga from India, and the many influences across the globe that have created the modern yoga practice that I teach.
I have my deep respect for my teachers here in Australia, and all the teachers across the world who have taught them, and so many students before me.
